This role combines hands-on Release of Information (ROI) work with leadership support, training, and team coordination.You will:Providing call support and assisting with ROI-related inquiriesProcessing medical record requests accurately and confidentially in compliance with HIPAAAssisting the Supervisor with inventory management, including Healthsource queue oversight and prioritization of urgent requestsServing as a subject-matter resource for team members on ROI workflows, EMR navigation, SOPs, and best practicesSupporting client and internal escalations with timely follow-up and clear communicationAssisting with training and onboarding of new hires, including mentoring and coachingFacilitating team training sessions and ongoing education to reinforce compliance and quality standardsPerforming data entry, faxing, scanning, and other administrative duties as neededMaintaining professionalism and effective communication with patients, providers, and clinical staffSupporting overall team productivity and quality goalsWhat you will bring to the table:High school diploma or equivalent. (Must be from an Accredited Institute recognized by the State Dept. of Education.)Willingness and ability to travel locally on a weekly basis as neededProficiency with computers, email systems, and standard office equipmentStrong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirementsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismAbility to stay organized while working quickly. Strong attention to detail is also required.Passing annual Introductory HIPAA examination. (Testing to be given annually in accordance with employee review.)Required to take and pass a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher.To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
