Position: Student Nutrition Manager

Reports To: Student Nutrition Director

Location: Hawkins Elementary School

Schedule: 7:45AM - 2:15PM, 6.5 hours per day, 10 months per year

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: $17.59 per hour, per BESPA Contract Affiliation: Brighton Education Support Personnel Association (BESPA) Div. 3

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation, safety and sanitation in a commercial kitchen

2. Ability to relate well with fellow workers, students and staff

3. Ability to follow and interpret directions, written and oral

4. Neat and clean appearance

5. Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

6. Full use of arms, hands, legs and feet or sufficient use of all limbs to accomplish assigned tasks

7. Cash handling experience

8. Ability to oversee daily operations

9. Previous experience operating computers

10. ServSafe Certified

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals.

2. Assist with meal production as directed.

3. Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies.

4. Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment.

5. Compile and maintain appropriate records and forms.

6. Receive, stock and inventory food and supplies.

7. Compile and maintain appropriate records for federal, state and local regulations and reports.

8. Public relations as necessary.

9. Coordination and implementation for sales promotions.

10. Understand and determine qualified meals and qualified components of meals.

11. Monitor reimbursable meal qualification at point of service.

12. Stock, display and present merchandise.

13. Assist in coordination of events and activities.

14. Assist in operation of facilities as directed by Director and/or Supervisor.

15. Meet and service the needs of clientele in a timely fashion and in a pleasant and appropriate manner.

16. Assist in the operation of facilities as directed by Director and/or Supervisor.

17. Other duties as assigned by Director and/or designee.

Evaluation: Annually by Student Nutrition Director
