About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care experience in specialty License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro) Epic experience Basic Arrhythmia experience Pass Telemetry test prior to starting Description: This position involves floating across multiple departments and specialties. The role includes caring for complex and dynamic patient populations. The nurse will provide high-quality, evidence-based care. Critical thinking skills will be essential to evaluate and assess patients. The nurse will recognize and escalate complications as needed. Administer appropriate nursing interventions while demonstrating commitment to patient and family-centered care. Partnership with multidisciplinary teams is required. The nurse will hone interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegate tasks as necessary. Expected to float to neuro and oncology departments. Telemetry skills are necessary with a focus on cardiac telemetry. A telemetry exam is required, with strict passing criteria for lethal rhythms. The nurse will have two attempts to pass the exam. If unsuccessful on the second attempt, a completion certificate from a cardiac interpretation review course will be required. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in the cancellation of the assignment. This opportunity allows for professional growth in a supportive and advanced care environment.
