Field Service Technician III

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Field Services Technician III to work independently in the field handling hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling. Responsibilities Ensure health and safety by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner. Perform strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects. Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools, including vibration‑producing tools. Wear and properly use a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection in multiple combinations. Work in various temperatures and all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors. Work in atmospheres and locations with potential exposure to chemical and physical agents, some hazardous, toxic, or corrosive. Operate in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and low‑clearance areas. Work at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding. Assist in field sampling and meter calibration. Climb ladders, scaffolding, and enter/exit trucks, tanks, and containers. Work extended periods (>8 hrs.) as required. Attend compliance and safety update meetings. Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance. Load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste safely. Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary. Complete associated paperwork, including worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and permits. Follow local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules. Operate vehicles safely in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements. Observe corporate operating guidelines and procedures. Observe environmental, health, and safety operating guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis (every other week). Engage in site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling tasks. May be assigned lead responsibilities. Qualifications Reliable transportation. Physical capability to perform the functions described in the responsibilities. Agreement to be on‑call for emergency response, including occasional work on weekends and holidays; responses may extend beyond 8 hrs., up to 12–24 hrs. At least 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician. Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical exam. Compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34) regarding facial hair for respirator usage. Valid driver’s license. Benefits Hourly pay starting at $25 USD.
