Procurement Associate

Responsibilities Perform paraprofessional level purchasing of a variety of goods and services for various agencies under the Department of Homeland Security and the Division of Administrative Services. Maintain records management activities, including creating and maintaining purchasing files for the purchasing section. Implement and maintain the contract tracking system. Assist in determining the most cost‑effective and feasible types of goods and services to reduce or maintain expenses. Purchase goods and services by purchasing card for customer agencies, facilities, and the Division of Administrative Services. Prepare purchasing documents in the WVOasis financial application. Coordinate delivery of goods and services with customer agencies and customer facilities. Monitor orders to ensure they meet contract requirements and arrive in good condition and on time. Check requisitions for accuracy and completeness and request additional information from the requestor as needed. Type and assemble requisitions, correspondence, memos, and reports as requested by supervisors and management. Perform other duties as assigned. Training High school diploma or the equivalent. Experience Four (4) years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid clerical experience which included purchasing supplies and maintaining inventory. Substitution Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
