American Traveler is hiring a multispecialty Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience in general ultrasound, OB, vascular, and adult echo procedures.

Short term acute care hospital, Level IV Trauma Center with 49 staffed beds

Multispecialty role covering general ultrasound, fetal ultrasound, OB, breast, transvaginal, vascular, and echocardiogram studies

Includes adult echo, contrast echo, and echo stress treadmill testing

Patient ratio of 8:1

Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

On-call required 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday through Friday, and 24 hours Saturday and Sunday

Weekend coverage required via on-call rotation

Does not float between units

Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum 1 year of experience required

ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS certification required

BLS certification required

License required if applicable

Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

Experience with OB/GYN imaging across all trimesters, fetal anatomical survey, and amniotic fluid index

Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen

Vascular ultrasound experience including carotid, duplex, and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies

Experience with renal/pelvic, transvaginal, and small parts ultrasound including breast and thyroid

Experience working with adult, pediatric, ICU, ED, and high-risk OB patient populations

Experience with transplant studies and ultrasound-guided procedures such as paracentesis and biopsy/FNA preferred

Epic charting system experience required

Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies across obstetric, vascular, abdominal, and cardiac specialties

May be expected to float between sister facilities within the region

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-offer requests may not be granted

Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years

Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a lower bill rate

Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period

First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
