Director of Institutional Support

The client is seeking a Director of Institutional Support, a senior leader within its Development Department responsible for leading foundation and corporate fundraising programs.

The role requires strategic thinking and strong writing, organization, and interpersonal skills, along with demonstrated experience in securing significant sponsorships and corporate gifts and building a reliable pipeline.
The director will serve as an external-facing leader, working with current corporate donors, foundations, and sponsors while proactively developing new sources of corporate and foundation support.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing the corporate giving program, creating strategies to increase revenue through deeper engagement with existing donors and outreach to new prospects, and overseeing a portfolio of corporate funders and prospects through regular direct outreach.
The director will research, identify, track, and solicit institutional prospects to support initiatives that may include core concert programming, learning and community engagement, special projects, events, and touring.
The role also includes mentoring the Manager of Corporate Support on prospect research, proposals or applications, sponsorship activations, fulfilling recognition and benefits, and producing interim and final reporting.
The director will encourage sponsor engagement at client events and help develop sponsor experiences that align with corporate needs, while partnering with senior staff and board leadership to strengthen prospecting, solicitations, and relationship management.
Additional responsibilities include representing the client as a community and economic contributor with external partners, and overseeing foundation support by managing relationships with major foundation sources and preparing appropriate leadership engagement for meetings. xxoysbn
