Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerMelbourne, Florida, United StatesPosition ID: P-765370Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 3$1,806.29/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a FL or compact license and prior telemetry/stepdown experience.DetailsWork in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital settingNight shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00Patient ratio of 1:5Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week periodFloat requirement to other units or facility locations within the health system, with a home base assignedNo on-call requirementsEpic EMR experience requiredHurricane coverage requirements may applyRequirementsActive FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted)Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSSMinimum 1 year of recent PCU/telemetry/stepdown experience requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredEpic charting system experience requiredTwo supervisory references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the past year required for considerationSSN and DOB required for considerationFlu vaccine required during flu season (10/31-3/31) with medical or religious exemptions onlyAdditional InformationCare for cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and PCU/DOU/IMC patient populations, including CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury casesSkills in cardiac and respiratory care including arterial line management, central/peripheral line care, ventilator care, chest tube management, and dysrhythmia interpretation are valuedExperience with IV therapy, blood product administration, wound care, and insulin protocols is beneficialFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this positionFormer Health First employees or contracted travelers must have a separation period of at least one year before returningNo radius restriction; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelersTravel pairs permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteedRTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be reviewed during the interview processScrubs of any solid color required (no mixing tops/bottoms, no logos or prints)Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signingOrientation includes facility-specific modules completed annually thereafterHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
