Job Title Counselor-in-Training Job Overview Location: Jupiter Maplewood – West Orange, NJ 07052 Position Type: Seasonal (Exempt) Salary: $10.00 – $10.00 hourly Mythik Camps operates outdoor mythology‑based day camps for children ages 7‑15. The role is part of a seasonal staff that supports counselors and camp leadership by providing activity facilitation, group management, and operational assistance throughout the camp session. Responsibilities Lead and participate in all camp activities, guiding a group of 10‑14 campers with enthusiasm and heroic conduct. Execute operational and organizational tasks as directed by the camp director and counselors, maintaining a positive, energetic attitude. Engage in the weekly storyline, actively participate in quest events, and help campers connect to the camp lore. Develop collaborative teamwork, communication, problem‑solving, and creative thinking skills with guidance from the director and counselors. Show resilience, balance organization with flexibility, and model appropriate conduct for campers. Qualifications Age 16‑17 on the first day of operation with valid work papers through August 2026. Interest in outdoor summer work and enthusiasm for mythology and educational programming for children.
