As our Office Engineer / Field Engineer for our Construction Management team in the Bay Area , you'll support heavy civil and public works projects, including wastewater treatment plants, recycled water facilities, pipelines, and pump stations in the East Bay Area (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties). What You'll Do As our Office Engineer / Field Engineer , you will support construction administration, field observation, and project documentation for active wastewater infrastructure projects. Field Support & Construction Observation- Observe construction activities and support field operations on active heavy civil projects. Project Documentation & Administration- Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress payments, and other project communications. Technical Support & Interpretation- Assist with interpretation of plans and specifications to support field and office construction decisions. Project Records & Compliance- Maintain project files, as-built documentation, schedules, and support prevailing wage and labor compliance tracking. Coordination & Communication- Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure project alignment and progress. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline Valid CA driver license and reliable transportation to access project site(s) in addition to standard daily commute Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications Strong understanding of the construction process and field operations computer literacy Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work on active construction sites, including uneven terrain, ladders, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, preferred Prior experience in civil infrastructure or public works construction, a plus Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $40.00 - $51.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) Incentives: Discretionary bonus and recognition programs Time Off: 3 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidays Total Rewards: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, along with employee ownership and retirement benefits Our Hiring Approach Our recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
