Job Description Lead Projects. Build Teams. Grow a Practice. WSP is seeking an experienced water infrastructure leader to help strengthen and grow our Massachusetts water practice. This individual will lead major projects, develop staff, improve delivery performance, and help build a high‑performing team capable of supporting continued growth throughout New England. Why This Role Is Different The Massachusetts market is expanding — driven by MassDEP regulatory requirements, PFAS response, and a multi-year infrastructure investment cycle across municipal utilities throughout the Commonwealth. Influence how projects are delivered across the region Play a key role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing future leaders Work closely with regional leadership on growth and operational initiatives Clear path toward Area Manager, Operations Leader, and Practice Leader roles What You’ll Do Lead multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across concurrent programs Mentor project managers, engineers, and technical staff Support recruiting and succession planning as the practice grows Build strong client relationships and support strategic pursuits Drive continuous improvement in project delivery performance and standards Ideal Candidate PE license required 10+ years of municipal water/wastewater consulting experience Proven project management and team leadership success on complex infrastructure programs Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills Familiarity with MassDEP permitting and regulatory requirements preferred Business development experience a plus Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $119,600–$213,200 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
