Position Summary: Sloomoo Institute is seeking a driven, analytical, and curious Finance Intern to join our dynamic team at HQ. As a Finance Intern, you will support our accounting and finance processes, gaining hands-on experience in transaction processing, vendor and stakeholder communications, workflow creation, and reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and streamlined, contributing directly to the smooth running of our growing business. Key Responsibilities: Monitor communications with vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing. Track and post incoming customer payments. Match transactions with supporting documentation and investigating inconsistencies. Support the creation and testing of workflows and reports in the ERP system. Research accounting, industry, and economic topics to help inform financial strategies and decision-making. Collaborate with the finance team to assist in month-end close processes and reporting. Organize financial documents, spreadsheets, and reports for easy access and review. Help with financial analysis projects to support business operations and decision-making. Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance department to enhance efficiency. Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned to support the overall financial operations. Qualifications: Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in-person at our SoHo (New York City) office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a desire to learn about financial processes. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with precision and accuracy.
