Pharmacy Technician

Base Pay $21.00 / Hour Employee Type Full Time Non-Exempt Required Degree High school Manage Others No Description Job Description In this role, you will pack and prepare temperature-sensitive medications and supplies for shipment according to established procedures and temperature requirements. You will also stock workstations, organize inventory, process shipments, and assist with receiving products and materials. The Patient Experience is paramount at MDR Encino Pharmacy, and our Pharmacy Technicians take pride in ensuring patients receive their prescriptions accurately and on time. What You Will Do Work with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to accurately pull, prepare, package, and ship medications, medical supplies, and instructional materials. Dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty Pharmacist. Pack temperature-sensitive medications securely according to established procedures and storage requirements. Stock and organize inventory to maintain clean, accurate, and accessible work areas. Assist with receiving products, verifying materials, and placing inventory in the appropriate locations. Use computers, scanners, and printers to generate shipping labels, invoices, and related documentation. Participate in inventory counts and assist with resolving inventory or shipment discrepancies. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable pharmacy regulations, safety requirements, and company procedures. Collaborate with team members to meet operational deadlines and resolve issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or management. Qualifications Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician license. Basic knowledge of applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet use. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to work an eight-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends. Ability to work on-site. Ability to stand for extended periods during an eight-hour shift. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach when accessing inventory and packaging materials.
