Production Associate II

Pay rate: $17/hr Location: 300 Welcome Center Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295 Responsibilities Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products. Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities. Follow defined clean‑up times. Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies. Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations. Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for customers. Identify problems, communicate issues. Assist with training co‑workers. Support a respectful workplace. Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management. Read at least minimum word and number recognition/visual cues. Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and know when to change PPE. Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE. Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances. Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions. Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation. Quality recognition in station quality requirements/CTQ. Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly & accurately, asking questions, sharing important info. Time management and aware of cycle times. Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals). Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download. Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion. Problem solving using Root Cause Analysis. Dependability being on time consistently. Profile recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing. Monitor inventory by adhering to min‑max levels (WIP) and utilization of scrap. Record keeping being accurate, timely, legible/scrap. Ability to train operators. Ability to oversee multiple workstations. Interpret and understand schedule adherence. Manage line flow. Lead. Wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses. Dependability/punctuality & detail oriented. High school diploma is preferred. Qualifications Bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand required. Consistently lift at least 50 lbs, 8 to 12 hours a day required. Work in hot & cold environment required. Ability to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs required. Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross‑trained) required. Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods required. Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations required. Follow supervisors instructions/directions as given required. Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative.
