Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring adherence to established standards and patient-centered practices. Supervises nursing staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and coordinates care to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing assessments and interventions tailored to medical-surgical patients.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring appropriate care delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Proficiency in EPIC and Cerner electronic medical record systems.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and experience with EMR documentation.
