Position Summary In addition to its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and reputation for some of the country's best brews, Denver ranks among the top 10 in Forbes' 'Best cities for dogs 2024' list. Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. But, we leave it up to you to shape our future and your career aspirations.Our Production Operators are the feeder group for all production-based operator positions within various production departments, which include Unloading, Dry Pet Processing, and Dry Pet Packing. Team members go through a training period and afterwards will be moved to one of several critical factory positions to operate, including Extruder Operator, Utility, Packing Operator, etc. In this position, you will enjoy competitive weekly pay starting at $29.53 an hour during the new hire probation period and increasing to $35.65 an hour when the probationary period has been successfully completed. Train on specific production equipment/machinery in a safe and productive manner. Provide support to operators in Unloading, Processing, and Packing. Run unloading, processing, and packing equipment, and serve as backups to operator positions in various departments. Troubleshoot and complete preventative maintenance/clean and inspect checklist for equipment. Effectively work with interdepartmental personnel to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant. Operate a forklift as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience operating and troubleshooting machinery/equipment in a manufacturing, production, agricultural, military, or related environment.
