Clinician Educator

This full-time clinician educator position includes clinical care, teaching of residents and medical students as well as other academic pursuits and educational and research opportunities. Responsibilities for the position include providing outpatient general pediatrics clinical services for UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists (ULPS). Teaching duties entail leading the resident outpatient rotation, including designing and maintaining curriculum, scheduling, and overseeing this rotation.

This is a non-tenure position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include education and teaching, research and clinical care, including supervision of residents and students. Responsibilities include leading the outpatient general pediatrics rotation for pediatric and med-peds residents, to entail designing and maintaining curriculum, scheduling, and overseeing all aspects of the rotation.

Clinical supervision of students, residents, and fellows. May include supervision of advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

• Requires an MD or equivalent degree
• Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics.
• Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license

Departmental Preferences:

Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics. Clinical and didactic teaching. Opportunities to conduct clinical QI and research projects. Opportunities for leadership in medical education within the division.

Opportunities exist for an interested candidate to provide clinical care in our Healthy Lifestyles Clinic. Knowledge in obesity medicine would be preferred and candidate may be certified or open to certification in obesity medicine.
