Floater Phlebotomist

Locations Naperville, Joliet, Elk Grove Village, Oak Brook, Hoffman Estates, Palos Hills, Chicago, Yorkville, Oak Park, Munster, IN. Work Schedule Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am-8:00pm and rotating Saturdays, 1st Shift with varied schedule. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. Or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Be at least 21 years old. Compensation Pay range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Float Incentive Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only to participate in the 401(k) plan.
