Store Manager in Training

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program focuses on developing future store leaders through a 16‑week self‑paced, collaborative training that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Responsibilities Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues to support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience may be considered. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor preferred. Willingness to accept promotion roles with the market in which you work. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Selection for SMIT does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager; promotion is dependent on performance and openings. Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $18.50 – $23.88 per hour (or equivalent base annual full‑time salary). The final base salary will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
