Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Family Hope Solutions is a small, growing ABA practice serving children and families throughout Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas. Our team includes multiple BCBA supervisors and an incredible group of RBTs who work together to provide high-quality, ethical care.

Our staff are trained in trauma-informed ABA, and we prioritize person-centered, individualized services that promote independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful skills for the clients we serve.

We provide services in our clinic as well as in homes, schools, and community settings.

About the Role

We#39;re looking for a dependable, compassionate Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a difference.

Already an RBT? We#39;d love to hear from you.

Have experience working with children but you#39;re new to ABA? We#39;re happy to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow in the field.

What You#39;ll Do

As a Behavior Technician/RBT, you#39;ll work directly with clients under the supervision of a BCBA. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide one-on-one ABA services based on individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans

• Learn and implement each client#39;s programs as developed by your supervising BCBA

• Collect accurate data during sessions to track client progress

• Communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA about progress, concerns, and changes

• Help clients build meaningful skills that promote greater independence and self-advocacy

• Support caregivers in implementing strategies when directed by the supervising BCBA

• Provide services across clinic, home, school, and community settings as assigned

• Participate in client meetings, team meetings, and ongoing training as needed

• Maintain RBT certification and annual requirements once certified

What We#39;re Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule

• Comfortable working directly with children

• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively with a clinical team

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Preferred, but not required:

• Current RBT certification

• Bachelor#39;s degree or coursework in psychology, education, special education, social work, behavioral health, or a related field

• Previous experience in ABA, special education, childcare, education, behavioral health, or another role working with children

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Applicants must be able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods; sit and work on the floor; transition quickly between positions; and lift or assist with lifting up to 25–30 lbs.

The position also requires the ability to use physical prompting techniques, respond quickly to client needs and behaviors, and implement safety procedures as trained. Team members should be comfortable working in environments with varying levels of noise and activity, maintaining close physical proximity to clients, collecting data while actively engaged in sessions, and performing work that requires sustained attention and physical stamina.
