Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Job Description

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion, with a focus on healthcare environments. This role is ideal for someone who can balance both estimating and project execution while working on hospitals, labs, and other mission-critical facilities. Design-build experience is a plus.


Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through close-out
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Prepare and review labor, material, and cost estimates, budgets, and proposals
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and field staff
• Oversee project schedules, costs, and overall performance
• Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as needed
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
• Complete project close-out documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management, estimating, or a combination role
• Required experience working on healthcare projects (hospitals, labs, or similar environments)
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systems
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or HS Diploma/GED with relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
