Physicians maintain full ownership and clinical control of their practice while MedCBO handles non‑clinical business functions. Overview This position is designed for physicians seeking clinical autonomy with structured support for billing, staffing, payer contracting, and compliance. The practice remains independent; MedCBO is not an employer and does not direct patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation and credentialing. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and compliance support. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Physician-directed relocation and market selection are subject to licensure requirements. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice and is not a fixed salary. Financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions.
