Shipping And Receiving ClerkPosition Summary: This role is responsible for processing in-bound and out-bound mail, packages and freight at a client's site. We work safely, as a team, sharing the workload each day.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPickup, sort, process, load, ship, receive, unload and deliver mail, packages and freight.Inspect items and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Utilize computers, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required to accomplish tasks.Receive, sort, process and distribute all incoming packages/palletsProcess desktop shipping labels for outbound shipmentsPrepare and ship all non-regulated packages received dailyPrepare courier packages, coordinating pick-up and delivery, confirming delivery/receipt with appropriate stakeholders, and resolving any related issues in a timely mannerResponsible for delivering or coordinating pick up of packages to customer work areas.Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulationsOther duties as assigned such as room setups, building safety tours and other minor maintenance tasks.Required Knowledge, skills, and abilitiesAbility to interact with client personnelStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
