Senior Quantum Systems Engineer – Quantum ComputingLocation: Remote, United States -Santa Clara, California - Redmond, WashingtonThis role focuses on building and defining system-level solutions that enable fault-tolerant quantum computing; You will work across hardware, software, and firmware while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.Responsibilities:Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to define system requirements for fault-tolerant quantum computingWork with external partners to align technical and system requirementsDevelop new approaches for real-time quantum error correction and calibrationPerform detailed systems analysis across different qubit modalities;Translate product requirements into technical specifications across hardware, software, and firmwareDevelop and review test cases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and performanceContribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and strong technical problem solvingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience5+ years of post-bachelor's experience working on complex hardware and software systemsStrong hands-on experience with real qubits and quantum control systems software;Experience engineering across multiple parts of an integrated hardware and software systemStrong interest in advancing quantum computing technologies into production systemsPreferred:Experience designing quantum control systems, including communication and networking componentsExperience developing real-time systems and embedded softwareKnowledge of benchmarking methods for quantum computers;Experience applying AI and machine learning techniquesExperience working with CUDA and NVIDIA GPUsBenefits and Compensation:Base salary range for Level 3: 152,000 USD to 218,500 USDBase salary range for Level 4: 184,000 USD to 287,500 USDSalary determined by location, experience, and internal pay alignmentEligible for equity;Eligible for company benefits
