CTDI also has a global footprint with more than 20,000 employees worldwide. 1st Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday Pay: $20.00 - $32.00/hour (depending on experience)OSP Assistant Engineer is responsible for completing the OSP Engineering field surveys for our telecommunications customers, meeting their quality requirements in a timely manner. Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the OSP engineering process from project award through permit closeout and As-Built/Make Ready submittal.Accountable for total project scope and quality controlPermitting with state DOTs, cities, counties, railroads, environmental, and other permitting authorities.Make Ready/ As-Built process for aerial construction projects.Take detailed field notes for the design.Document changes of customer specifications.Track & report on job progress.Coordinate activities with pole owners / utilities regarding make–ready submittals, design and construction requirements and activities.Required Skills and ExperienceCommunication and customer service skills.Intermediate computer skillsIntermediate skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Motivation and self-direction in performing to critical deadlines.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Excellent project and time management skills.Detail oriented and demonstrates good organizational skills.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and use good judgment in day-to-day activities.Analyzing issues and solving problems.Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment successfully.Must be flexible to take on additional projects and job duties when required.Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience as an OSP Design Engineer in the telecommunications industryTelecommunication Cable SplicingTelecommunication Lineman CATV OSPEducational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsOutdoor environment, often exposed to varying weather conditions.The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.Ability to differentiate between colored wires.You will love working in our family-oriented company!
