Details Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Part of a Resource Float Pool with allocation to a specific campus but potential to float to another campus within the health system Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Weekend shifts required as needed On-call requirements apply, with either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts required per 6-week period Floating required within scope to other units and campuses as needed based on facility needs Epic EMR experience preferred but not required Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before start) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required; candidates with 1 year may be considered on a case-by-case basis Community hospital experience preferred Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Must be able to pass a cardiac arrhythmia and medication test on the first day of orientation Must be able to pass a fit test onsite, which may require shaving Additional Information Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application, as RTO requests made afterward will not be considered Previous permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts during the contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation American Traveler Job ID P-728475.
