Job Description
Support the production of residential kitchens and baths, built-ins and furniture, commercial millwork, and other mixed custom projects as a Custom Cabinet Shop Helper. Working under the direction of the cabinetmaker and shop foreman, this entry-level role assists with shop operations using basic power tools while building skills toward lead shop responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Cut panels for custom cabinetry and millwork projects.
- Apply edge banding to cabinet components.
- Support cabinet and millwork assembly.
- Handle materials and maintain an organized, clean shop.
- Operate basic power tools safely and appropriately.
- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and finish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in cabinet shop support.
- Familiarity with woodworking tools and cabinet assembly.
- Basic measuring and layout skills.
- Experience with material handling and sanding techniques.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
