Role Description This is a full-time, on-site School Speech Language Pathologist role based in Leesburg, VA. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs in a school setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy services, and monitoring progress toward educational and therapeutic goals. The role involves collaborating closely with teachers, school administrators, special education teams, and families to support student learning and participation, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and complying with school and regulatory guidelines. The Speech Language Pathologist will also contribute to IEP development, participate in student support meetings, and provide training or guidance to staff on communication strategies. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Speech Therapy and Speech assessment and intervention for school-age children. Knowledge and experience in managing Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in educational settings. Ability to evaluate and treat Dysphagia and related swallowing concerns as appropriate for the school environment. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia and ASHA CCC-SLP preferred. Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, with familiarity in IEP processes and special education regulations. Strong interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
