Client Litigation Manager - General Liability

Address cases involving a legal inquiry or dispute when Premises, Tendering and Product liability cases are high value and/or may result in media exposure to the client Develop a strategy to bring cases to satisfactory resolution Work closely with clients and keep them informed of anticipated exposure Handle public relations related to media interest in specific cases Review and act on reports/forms; respond to inquiries; seek legal opinion and early resolution; communicate resolution to appropriate parties Concentrate on high exposure claims ($300,000+) and claims of a sensitive nature Respond to decisions, agreements, and/or court orders; create action plans; determine need for examination; gain client authorization Identify cases for settlements/redemptions Gather and document additional information and coordinate with client designees Request legal/private investigation; assign to and coordinate with local counsel; monitor local counsel performance Respond to plaintiff's counsel, union, employee, or client requests Identify issues and formulate defense strategy Establish/adjust accrued liability Approve administrative expenses Identify subrogation opportunities and manage the process Attend mediations or hearings as needed Work with partners to affect early return-to-work Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required Five (5) years of claims management experience Three (3) years of litigation claims management Legal experience preferred Clear and conceptual thinking ability Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion Ability to handle work-related stress Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneous Ability to meet deadlines Computer keyboarding Travel as required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in claims management and litigation strategy, with a focus on high-value and sensitive cases. Proficient in client communication, legal inquiry resolution, and public relations management.
