Get Curious, Inc is recruiting on behalf of a boutique practice seeking an experienced California trusts and estates attorney to join as a trusted leadership partner to the firm owner. This is a substantive, client-facing role for an attorney who can independently manage estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters while helping clients feel confident moving forward with the firm.

You will inherit meaningful responsibility, work with an experienced paralegal and administrative team, and help strengthen the systems and leadership needed for the practice's continued growth. The role is primarily remote, with an expectation of working from the San Rafael office one to two days per week.

What You Will Do

• Independently manage California trust administration, estate planning, and probate matters from consultation through completion.
• Advise trustees, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and estate planning clients with sound judgment, empathy, and practical clarity.
• Lead prospective-client consultations and help qualified firm-generated prospects make an informed decision to engage the firm.
• Develop planning strategies, prepare or direct drafting, review legal documents, and conduct document review and signing meetings.
• Review paralegal and staff work, delegate effectively, and provide clear direction, feedback, and deadline accountability.
• Maintain proactive client communication, accurate files, timely billing, and dependable matter progression.
• Help improve workflows, templates, quality control, team coordination, and backup coverage.
• Serve as a right-hand practice leader and contribute to client retention, firm performance, and responsible growth.

What We Are Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Seven or more years of relevant California trusts and estates experience preferred; exceptional candidates with at least five years may be considered.
• Substantial hands-on estate planning and trust administration experience and the ability to run matters with limited supervision.
• A record of earning client confidence and converting appropriate prospective clients into engaged clients.
• Strong legal judgment, drafting and review skills, organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to guide paralegal and administrative staff effectively.
• A stable work history showing depth, accountability, and sustained contribution in relevant roles.
• Ability to maintain a consistent full-time schedule and work in the San Rafael office one to two days per week.
