Director of Sales

A leading destination management company is seeking a strategic, hands-on sales leader to serve as the Director of Sales, based in Las Vegas. This hybrid role oversees sales for Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and Hawaii, three of the company's key destination markets, driving new business, developing a team of sales managers, and building each market's presence with hotel and venue partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop sales teams across Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and Hawaii, setting the standard for a proactive, self-generating sales culture.
• Own team performance against sales KPIs, including new business hunting, self-generated revenue, and win rate targets, across all three markets. This is a leadership and oversight role rather than an individual quota-carrying position.
• Build and maintain relationships across a wide network of local venues, hotels, and vendor partners in each destination.
• Guide and coach the team in selling a complex mix of services (logistics, activations, decor, entertainment) rather than a single property or venue.
• Partner with executive leadership on multi-market strategy, competitive positioning, and recruiting top sales talent.
• Collaborate with creative and event production teams to ensure proposals are strategic and on-brand.
• Serve as a senior representative of the brand within the hospitality and events community.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Proven experience leading, managing, or coaching a sales team, with a hungry, proactive, money-motivated approach to developing others.
• Strong individual producers without direct management experience will be considered if they've demonstrated clear readiness to move fully into a coaching and oversight role.
• Preferred: DMC experience, given the complexity of selling across a broad network of venues and services rather than a single hotel or venue.
• Experience overseeing or coordinating sales across multiple markets or regions a plus.
• Deep knowledge of the Las Vegas market; familiarity with Palm Springs and/or Hawaii markets a plus.
• Comfortable operating in highly competitive markets and mentoring teams toward aggressive new-business targets.
