About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI Must-Have: - Strong sepsis and stroke skillsets - Advanced experience in emergency procedures Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department. The unit contains 19 beds plus a 4-bed psychiatric pod. The patient ratio is 4:1. Both day and night shift secretaries are available, along with tech support during scheduled hours. The unit is equipped with Hillrom, Stryker, GE, and Lifepak defibrillators. Documentation will be handled through a Meditech system. Staff may be floated to the psychiatric pod or to other departments within the system as needed. The hospital holds certifications for chest pain and stroke care. Strong collaboration between providers and nursing staff is emphasized. Tele psychiatric services are also provided. The unit is staffed with experienced team members, many of whom have been with the organization for over 5 years. The dress code includes navy scrubs. Candidates should be aware of the supportive environment and advanced technology available on the unit.
