TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Correctional RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87153!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Correctional Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years minimum preferred License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, MOAB Must-Have: - Must sustain being on feet for 80% of the shift. - Must be able to pass a facility background check. - MOAB certification is required; in-person training will be provided if not already obtained. - Must have experience with detox or withdrawals. Description: Block scheduling requests are approved based on unit needs. MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES. Facility is smoke-free at all times, with no designated smoking areas. Staff is expected to manage patient rounds effectively. Nightshift staff will conduct 1 detox round and 1 MOUD round. Detox round is approximately 1:50, and MOUD round is approximately 1:75. Staff is primarily focused on the Addictions Medicine department. Responsibilities include overseeing medication administration and patient assessments during withdrawal processes. Expect assessments and monitoring of patients during the induction process for Suboxone and Methadone. Experience with high patient ratios is necessary. For Suboxone passes, the patient ratio is 1:50. For detox, the typical maximum ratio is 1:50, usually toggling around 1:40. Weekend coverage is mandatory every other weekend. RTO restrictions apply. Travelers must possess required certifications and experience. Candidates without corrections experience should have emergency department experience as an alternative. Additional experience in a busy medical-surgical setting is preferred but must meet the minimum years of experience. Travelers with prior relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Background checks and compliance documents need to be submitted on time. This role involves working in a correctional setting with specific procedural guidelines and regulations. Travelers must have the required certifications and should be prepared for thorough evaluations. Candidates will be assessed based on their experience and qualifications in relation to the responsibilities outlined.
