Night Shift Licensed Practical Nurse
Night Shift Licensed Practical Nurse: (full-time/nights in Del Norte) A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a hospital provides essential bedside care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians. Their duties include monitoring patient health, administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining accurate medical records. LPNs play a vital role in supporting patients and families, ensuring comfort and safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
Position Requirements
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current LPN license in the state of Colorado. BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC required after 1 year of employment.
B. Equipment Knowledge: Computer, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, Printers, and Nursing Equipment.
C. Education: High School Diploma and Completion of a practical nursing program.
D. Experience: Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
E. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Provide direct nursing care to patients in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Wage range: $28.00-$35.00 / hour
