Cad Designer

Job Summary Prepare/assist in developing design drawings, change notices, bill of materials, and other documents required for facility/plant modification, equipment, and other projects. Responsibilities Prepare or revise selected drawings (electrical, mechanical, civil, or instrument) and documentation for installation, modification, and operation of systems. Gather, organize, and develop engineering data; perform field investigations; calculate design requirements. Provide field prints, check prints, and working copies of documents to expedite final engineering drawings. Ensure conformance to procedures, regulations, and standards. Compile documentation packages, submit for review and approval, and expedite transmittal. Maintain and update design configuration documents using CADD and manual drafting techniques. Utilize applicable systems and applications. Collaborate in a team environment and provide constructive contributions. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. College or technical school coursework in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred). Valid driver's license. Strong oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills. PC skills in a Windows environment. Designer II Requirements Associate’s degree or technical certification in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred). At least two years of electrical utility design experience. Preferred Experience (Designer I) One year of design experience in the area of specialization (per business unit). Work Conditions Contract position, fully onsite at Deer Valley, Phoenix, AZ. 8‑hour days, Monday‑Friday (6:00 am‑2:30 pm or 7:00 am‑3:30 pm) with optional overtime of up to 10 hours per week. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour.
