Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or head chef in a high-volume full-service or fast casual environment
- Prior pizza experience required, including dough work
- Hands-on experience managing staff, menu planning, and ordering
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational and conflict management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and a 5055 hour work week
Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous scratch kitchen experience a plus
- Experience with set recipes and standardized procedures
- Great attitude, strong work ethic, patience, and willingness to learn
Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and timely service
- Train and develop team members on recipes and food presentation
- Maintain safety, sanitation, and organization standards in all kitchen areas
- Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs to achieve budget goals
- Track weekly and monthly costs and participate in scheduling and shift management
