Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; one (1) year of recent Coronary Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) experience; current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC).
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The role requires proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, point of care testing, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, safety management, patient education, and understanding of healthcare standards compliance. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is essential. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines affecting the healthcare environment and promoting a safe hospital setting is expected. The position emphasizes patient-family relationship development, prioritization of complex care tasks, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
