Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift available: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with life-threatening conditions in the ICU.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic charting system.
• Perform intensive nursing procedures and assessments.
• Support and communicate with patients and their families regarding care plans and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of current ICU nursing experience.
• New York State RN License required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications must be in hand prior to starting.
• Proficiency in rhythm interpretation and the ability to pass a hospital-proctored test.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
