Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ascertain insurance information from patients prior to service
• Contact insurance company, as needed, to verify patient coverage
• Obtain authorization for procedures and services, as required.

Qualification Requirements:

• Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Good communication and telephone skills
• Good computer skills; must be able to type 45 wpm
• Knowledge of medical insurance/authorization process

Education And/Or Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in obtaining insurance authorizations

Confidential And Sensitive Information:

• Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information.
