You'll work at both the component and system level, using schematics and electronic test equipment to identify failures and ensure repaired products meet TDK's quality, safety, and performance standards.What You'll DoInspect incoming power supplies and electronic equipment for defects and signs of failure.Troubleshoot electronic failures at the component, circuit-board, subassembly, and system levels.Diagnose issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, AC power sources, and other test equipment.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and technical documentation.Repair or replace electronic components including capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, transformers, relays, connectors, fans, fuses, and circuit boards.Perform soldering, desoldering, electronic rework, wire termination, and mechanical repairs.Test repaired products to verify performance, safety, and quality.Document repairs, test results, parts usage, and failure-analysis findings.Identify recurring failures and communicate findings with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.Follow ESD controls, calibration requirements, safety procedures, and established quality standards.Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce repair time, repeat failures, and material waste.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.3–5 years of experience repairing power supplies, electronic assemblies, industrial equipment, or similar products.Strong understanding of analog electronics and AC/DC circuits.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.Hands-on soldering, desoldering, and electronic rework experience.Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail with the ability to follow documented repair and safety procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred QualificationsTechnical certificate or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience with switching or industrial power supplies and other power-conversion equipment.IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or similar electronics/soldering certification.Experience with high-voltage troubleshooting and electrical safety procedures.Familiarity with automated test equipment, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and power analyzers.Experience with root-cause analysis and component-level failure analysis.Why You'll Love This RoleWork hands-on with electronic products and power technologies.Solve real technical problems rather than performing the same task every day.Work alongside Engineering and Quality teams to identify and resolve product issues.Develop your troubleshooting and component-level repair expertise.Contribute ideas that improve repair processes and product quality.Build your career with a global technology organization.CompensationThe starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $28.00 and $36.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The role may require standing or working at a bench for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, using soldering and test equipment, wearing appropriate PPE, and occasionally working overtime based on business needs. Work may involve authorized exposure to energized equipment and other typical electronics repair environment conditions.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
