The Fairfield County Municipal Court is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented person with excellent time management skills to fill the full-time Court Administrator position.
The Court Administrator reports to both Municipal Court judges and works closely with the Administrative Judge to set budgets for the Court's funds, establish personnel policies, and oversee operational functions of the Court and Columbian Building. Fiscal responsibilities include forecasting and maintaining annual budgets from City and County funding authorities; processing all accounts payable invoices; maintaining purchase order and account balances; and preparing legislation to funding authorities as necessary. The Court Administrator processes biweekly payroll for the Judicial and Probation departments, maintains leave requests and balances, and assists in hiring of new staff. The Court Administrator also schedules and maintains the shared calendar for interpreters for court proceedings; and ensures that the Court is compliant with Supreme Court and Administrative Rules regarding Local Rules, preparation of the Annual Report, and scheduling of visiting judges. The Court Administrator also works closely with the Facility Maintenance Coordinator with regard to systems inspections and repairs and ordering of supplies and equipment. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but comparable work experience will be considered. Candidates should be highly capable in Excel and Word. Experience with VIP and/or MUNIS software is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Salary range is $38.00 - $44.00/hour and includes benefits. Posting shall remain open until filled.
