Job Title
Duties Manages, analyzes, evaluates, and coordinates operational plans for Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) assets to execute the AF battle rhythm and deliver versatile air and space power for combat support, contingencies, deployments, and exercises. Analyzes, develops, Interprets, and Implements policies and procedures to execute strategic plans, crisis action plans, and rotational requirements from the unified combatant commanders ensuring effective utilization of Air Force resources. Participates in, prepares and presents high level studies and briefings of conclusive findings to varying levels of AF leadership. Requirements Conditions of employment
Job Requirements

If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program Disclosure of Political Appointments All federal employees are required to have direct deposit Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI access. May be required to perform irregular duty hours, to include 12-hour shifts and overtime during contingency/heightened operations. May be required to deploy to an alternate command and control station during emergency/crisis sourcing. Two years prior AEF experience (military, civilian, or contractor) at MAJCOM or Air Staff is highly desired. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Management and Program Analysis Series 0343 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of Joint and Air Force policies, programs, goals and objectives as they relate to the Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) and Joint Force Provider concept of operations. Knowledge of program management principles and processes and the analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing verification execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in -grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Joint and Air Force policies, programs, goals and objectives as they relate to the Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) and Joint Force Provider concept of operations. Knowledge of program management principles and processes and the analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing verification execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to especially broad, important, and severe military operational and contingency areas. Ability and skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, conducting analysis, devising recommended solutions, and packaging the entire process into briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top leadership use and decision-making. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
