Field Fiber Technician: Install, Splice & Restore DWDM

C.C.D. Cogent Communications Deutschland GmbH

Cogent Communications is seeking a Fiber Technician in Chicago, IL to handle field activity on the Cogent network, install network elements, turn-up and test customer circuits, and maintain fiber infrastructure. Requirements include 5+ years in telecom networks, 1+ year field experience in DWDM/IP networks, and proficiency with optical test gear (OPM, OTDR, OSA) and Ethernet testers. Travel ~30%.
