TH Surgical Technologist 2 (SOT)

Job Summary Describes anatomy/steps for surgeries Uses sterile technique Assists surgical team with procedure Collaborates with other members of the OR team Transports patients Demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care Facilitates open communication with all team members Initiates and supports the teaching/mentoring process Maintains a safe work environment Resolves problems on a one-to-one basis Takes an active role in professional development Participates in development/implementation of educational programs for surgical technologist program Demonstrates the ability to perform surgical technology skills for all general and specialty based cases Minimum Qualifications Must be eligible for certification by Association of Surgical Technologists through completion of a formal certificate or degree program in Surgical Technology or by meeting the Association of Surgical Technologists experience requirements, plus one year experience as a Surgical Technologist or comparable position in an acute care setting required. Work Days Full-time (40 hours a week) and part-time opportunities available on varying shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Weekends and holiday rotation as required by bargaining agreements.
