If you don't have at least 8 years' experience doing this type of work, please don't apply for this position.You'll need to have experience with carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing.You can't be afraid to take on new types of work. We don't always know what our customers need before we get onsite, and you'll need to be confident you can help them.You MUST have your own tools for doing various kinds of home repair and maintenance work.To succeed in this role, you'll need to follow our process, the Mr. Handyman Way, as it's what our customers have come to expect.The annual pay range for this position is $61,500 to $83,000Benefits include:Company assigned work van, fuel and maintenance paid by companyOffice team dedicated to filling your scheduleA customer service team that answers all calls and helps you take care of the clientsFlexibility with hours so you can take care of life's important eventsTechnician iPad and support for using our state-of-the-art system, Service TitanPaid Holidays, PTO, 401K, Dental, Vision, Medical plans, Bonus payYour responsibilities as a handyman professional include:Completing Maintenance & Repairs – You'll be completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects. The project length can range from two hours to two days.Making Recommendations and Managing Expectations with Customers – You'll communicate with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.Create Life-Long Customers – Deliver a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers. You will follow the Mr. Handyman Way - a repeatable process that makes it easy to wow the customer every time.Here are some of the ways that we'll measure your performance in the role.Customer Satisfaction (NPS) – For every job, you will encourage customers to complete a survey for them to rate their satisfaction with the service. You'll need both a high response rate and high satisfaction rate.Revenue Target – Our office gets you in the door and it's your job to stay there and find additional ways to be of service to the customer.Effective Billing Rate – It's your responsibility to invoice appropriately, source any needed materials, and collect payment from the customer.Recall Percentage – We guarantee all our work for one year. (Our technicians wear their uniform with pride and don't mind doing what's necessary to show respect for customers' homes.)You don't want to follow our process, the Mr. Handyman Way.Job Requirements:Live within the areaHave 8+ years' experience as a paid handymanOwn your own toolsBe insurable for driving our vehicleWilling to undergo a background check and drug testAble to lift 50 pounds independentlyAble to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of timeProfessional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicleAs an experienced Handyman, you have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:Carpentry workBathroom improvementsKitchen improvementsPainting, both inside and outDrywall work, minor and major repairsGeneral plumbing and electrical, where allowed by lawFloor installation and refurbishingFamiliar with building codesWe know we presented a lot to you here and that's because we're looking to hire only the best.
