Formulation Chemist

Formulation ChemistWe are seeking a dedicated Formulation Chemist to join our team for a 2-year contract at our Irvine, CA location. This position is 100% onsite and involves working closely with our product development team to execute formulation development projects for topical cosmetic and OTC skincare products.Responsibilities:Manufacture topical cosmetic and OTC skincare formulas.Maintain laboratory notebooks and databases.Manage raw material inventories and vendor relationships.Conduct stability studies and perform analytical testing.Support pilot and scale-up activities.Education Qualification:A minimum of 5 years of experience in topical cosmetic/OTC formulation development is required for a level III position.Candidates with 2-5 years of experience may be considered for a level II position.Required Skills:Working knowledge of topical cosmetic/OTC laboratory methods and familiarity with GLP/GMP.Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment used in topical cosmetic/OTC formula development.Experience in pilot and scale-up activities is a plus.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.Strong communication and documentation skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Team player with a positive mindset.The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.
