Shipping And Receiving Clerk

Picker/Packer-$16/hr 2nd Shift

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk accurately picks and packs apparel orders, primarily t-shirts, in a fast-paced, climate-controlled warehouse environment. This role supports daily order fulfillment operations and helps ensure timely and correct shipment of products.

Responsibilities

• Pick apparel orders accurately according to pick tickets and order specifications.
• Pack apparel items, primarily t-shirts, securely and neatly to prepare them for shipment.
• Handle general labor tasks related to shipping and receiving in a warehouse setting.
• Maintain a steady work pace while meeting productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
• Stand and walk for the majority of the workday while performing picking and packing duties.
• Follow established procedures for organizing, labeling, and staging packed orders.
• Adhere to safety guidelines at all times, including wearing required closed-toe footwear.
• Support team members and supervisors by performing additional warehouse tasks as needed to meet daily operational goals.

Essential Skills

• 12 years of warehouse or production experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse or production setting.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly during the workday.
• Ability to stand and remain on feet for the entire shift.
• Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and packing of apparel orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience handling apparel or similar products in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with general labor tasks such as staging, sorting, and organizing inventory.
• Ability to work extended hours, including frequent Saturdays, when needed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to established warehouse processes and productivity expectations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse focused on apparel, primarily t-shirts. Available shifts include 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (with a need for approximately 15 Shipping and Receiving Clerks) and 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (with a need for approximately 5 Shipping and Receiving Clerks), Monday through Friday. Team members work many Saturdays on 6- to 8-hour shifts, and average weekly hours typically range from 45 to 48 once fully trained. The environment is fast-paced and physically active, requiring extended periods on your feet and regular lifting of up to 30 pounds. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the dress code to support a safe and compliant workplace.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
