Adult - Crisis Bed Support Specialist

Make a difference when support matters most. CSAC is seeking a compassionate, grounded professional to support individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, substance use concerns, acute intoxication, and other behavioral health needs. You'll provide short-term stabilization, crisis support, and connections to ongoing services using trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and harm reduction approaches.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, de-escalation, and stabilization. Monitor individual safety and respond to changing medical, behavioral, or psychiatric needs. Assist with intake, documentation, discharge planning, and connections to community resources. Collaborate with treatment teams, medical providers, Emergency Services, and community partners.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience, or a comparable combination of experience and knowledge. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and crisis-response skills. Ability to remain calm, maintain professional boundaries, and exercise sound judgment. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, recovery-oriented practices, and harm reduction. CPR/First Aid certification. Preferred: Experience with psychiatric emergencies, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions. SCHEDULE and COMPENSATION Full-time position at 40 hours a week. Schedule: 2 overnights (5pm-9am) and one day shift (9am-5pm), which includes weekends. $21.43/hour with shift differentials of plus $5 for overnight, and plus $4 for evening hours.
