Material Handler

Job Overview Simpson Strong-Tie is a leader in engineered structural connectors, software, and solutions for the building industry. As a material handler, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials throughout the department in Packaging. This position works 1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities Maintain the flow of materials in and out of the department (70%) Stage bins/wire for nail and screw manufacturing (15%) Accurately locate all products removed from the department in the designated rack (10%) Check and ensure that all counts are correct on raw and finished goods taken from the department (5%) Desired Skills & Experience Problem‑solving skills: make on‑the‑spot decisions as required Minimum 6 months of forklift or reach‑truck experience Physical & Work Requirements This role operates large equipment and requires the employee to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear continuously. The employee must lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or heavier with proper equipment. The job may involve exposure to dust, heat, cold, wet or humid conditions, and operates around moving mechanical parts in a loud noisy environment. Work Status & Location This full‑time, non‑exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN. Relocation is not available for this position. Pay $23.00 - $31.97 per hour.
