Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Extrordinaire, detail-oriented, and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a critical role in the daily operations of our collision shop by accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and ensuring a seamless process from initial assessment to final invoicing. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of automotive repair processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to assess the extent of damage from collisions, ensuring all repair needs are identified.
• Prepare detailed and accurate damage estimates using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with technicians to understand repair requirements and address any additional items that may arise during the repair process.
• Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, costs, and timelines, ensuring transparency and understanding throughout the process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques, technology, and industry trends to provide accurate assessments.
• Work closely with insurance adjusters to facilitate smooth claims processing and resolve any disputes regarding repair estimates.
• Manage and track repair orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
• Stay organized and manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously to meet customer expectations and shop productivity goals.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive collision repair estimating or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, systems, and parts.

- Proficiency with estimating software.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical information to customers.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
